Not what I expected, but in the best Way
I really enjoy the usual enemies to lovers college romance, and I get that sometimes the stories can feel similar. This one, however, I guess, was similar, yet different. This one seemed to have a lot more depth.
You learn early on that Posie let out a secret that wasn't hers to tell, and Rafferty hated her for it. All he wants is to enact his hatred and revenge on her.
What I don't think he is prepared for is for her to actually let him do it, to absorb the hatred and pain he has, and just take it.
There's things going on with his brother, too, and for the first time, he doesn't really know what he's doing.
As we progress, you realise there is more to the situation. There is a lot of hurt and pain in this story and situations that no one should ever have to go through. It was well written and had me crying for everyone involved. It's really well done, and I can't wait to read more from this author
