Another wonderful part in this series. I loved it, the Ostrich, the wolves, the seance, our governess miss Lumley, the children. :)
Can't wait until next year, when I will get the paperback of the next part in the series.

Lord Ashton's mother comes to stay, along with her potential fiance, a crooked man bent on using her fortune to invest in establishing ostrich racing as a sport. His ostrich, Bertha, gets loose and the children are enlisted to help catch her on an overnight trek in the woods. Some new mysteries are revealed about the children's past, the presumed-dead father of Lord Ashton, and Judge Quinzy, though these mysteries still haven't been solved by the end of the story.

There is also plenty ado about acronyms as well (SPOTs, POEs, PIEs, and the like). Some giggle-inducing gruesomeness, too.

I absolutely love this series and I love, love it on audio. The story is funny and intriguing and well, just plain smart. While I usually get tired of a series (sometimes after just one book) I am anxiously awaiting the next Incorrigible Children book. I hope to get some more answers to the little lurking mysteries (and maybe a little more romance between Penelope & Simon! one can only hope :)

This series continues to be a delight. Katherine Kellgren's narration is the greatest thing since sliced bread.
