literally read this in one sitting! it really is so so so much more than a boy band and a girl's love for said band. Every character has so much depth and I love them all so much. Somehow I just felt so connected to them and I had so much hope in them. Please give this book a chance!!

Interesting concept, I related a lot as a former (vaguely current) fangirl. I really apprec ated the diverse representation and appreciated that those aspects were not tokenized. However the story itself got much darker than I thought and I was not really prepared for that based on the description. The ending wrapped up much too quickly and would have loved a little more time with the characters, but I like that the author left a hopeful possible future for the main characters.

Everyone in this book needs cookies. First, I could not stand Cormac. He was kind of like a blob of tomato sauce on a perfectly good shirt. Just always there and always annoying.

I really loved the Joan of Arc quotes and how multiple religions were observed and treated as valid. Even though characters didn't have exactly the same beliefs, they respected each other and discussed theological ideas. That just made me happy. :D

One of the biggest issues for me:
Why did Juliet, Mac, and Angel agree to stay in the same house if they'd never seen each other in person before? That seemed a little dangerous and I would NOT do that if I were them. Also, why did Juliet invite Mac to stay without warning Angel first?? RED FLAG RED FLAG
I loved Jimmy. He was giving Charlie.
Spoiler I hated how TWO PEOPLE LITERALLY KISSED HIM WITHOUT ASKING LIKE CONSENT PEOPLE

I did like how this book was clear about the negative impacts of fame. Overall, Bliss, Piero, and Cecily were my favorite characters. It was a pretty good read, I just felt like yelling at one of the main characters almost the whole time. Juliet is clearly dealing with something and Angel just thinks it's because of A BAND? Angel has like ZERO emotional intelligence/interpersonal skills! Like, some people have other things going on in their lives, Fereshteh! She just made me mad. But she did eventually apologize and realize her life is kinda dull.

Spoiler Lister needs help with his addiction and also the fact that he lost his v-card to someone twice his age like eXcUsE mE also that he took the picture because he was JEALOUS?? wHaT? Also, how does he manage to find alcohol literally anywhere?? Like, does he have a magnetic alcohol field or something? Having an alcohol cart in a 19-year-olds' apartment is a supremely bad idea. I feel like they should have had stricter rules about that but I guess it's realistic sadly.

Spoiler how Jimmy and Fereshteh both hate themselves and feel suicidal at times made me wish at least one character was at least relatively okay but ig that's the price of fame or uber-fangirldom ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Spoiler I thought that Lister unalived himself when they found him with the knife in his stomach-
