Lo siento pero no soporto a Alicia y nada de lo que he leído tiene sentido.

An iconic story with an iconic set of characters. Clever, creative, and humorous. I love the whimsical feel throughout the story. I have to be honest, though—the 2010 Tim Burton film, particularly regarding the overall plot and characterizations, is kinda superior to the original story.

Alice falls inside a rabbit hole and discovers a wonderful world full of wonder and magic, but also, full of absurd rules and people telling her how to behave, no matter how illogical they seem to be.
On the second part, written way later on, when the author was already forbidden to see his muse is more well-thought, but lacks that playfulness I so much love from the first part.
This has been a childhood favorite and as such has remained all my life. As a child I saw Alice trying to survive in an absurd world and felt so connected to her. As an adult I've been able to see more depth into the story and dig some of the layers.
I'm rereading this book as a part of the Cousera "Fantasy and Science Fiction: The Human Mind, Our Modern World" course and I have really enjoyed it. And would reread it a hundred more times!
