quick easy holiday read. liked the banter between these two characters & think i enjoyed it more than the first one in the series. while these books are not anything crazy i think i will continue to buy them simply because their covers are everything to me

I really liked this book! The only thing I didn't like was the ending. I felt like it could've been a bit more climatic. I also felt like Nicole didn't need to be misunderstood, she could've fully well just known what she was doing. I loved the FMC. I always love a good 'black cat' FMC. I also loved her slow progression towards growth and how she really turned her life into one she was proud of. I also loved the MMC. I loved how patient and understanding he was. He never rushed her and he never made her feel like she was anything other than amazing. I love the side characters but I did love how they didn't play as huge of a role in this one that they did in previous books. It felt like it mainly focused on the main couple. Overall, outside of my qualms about the ending, I really liked this book!
