What the actual bloody hell? A thousand pages of a book culminating in one chapter’s worth of battle? Two pages to conclude something I spent weeks anticipating? I'm sorry—I truly appreciate how vast this world is, but I'm actually so pissed right now. Pages upon pages of women being strange, of whining and crying, of jealousy, of Rand thinking about how nice Min feels while sitting on his knees, but two pages worth of battle??? No shit! I endured hundreds of pages of this nonsense just to finally see Rand bring the Aes Sedai to heel in literally one sentence.
And Galina escaping? Yeah, I'm not a cold-blooded person, but I’m letting Lews Therin have her for dinner. Needless to say, I’m annoyed at how abrupt and rushed the ending was.
So, we’re dragging the Ebou Dar plotline into the next book? More of Elayne and Nynaeve disrespecting Matt?
I have such a love-hate relationship with Wheel of Time books and characters. Like, I hate those stupid women (especially Nynaeve) with her braid-tugging, ear-boxing, man-hating behavior, and the next moment, I’m crying because she finally dared to apologize to someone. I missed Perrin so much in The Fires of Heaven and most of Lord of Chaos because he (along with Matt) is the only one who doesn’t make me want to facepalm constantly.
All of them have come such a long way, but OMG, the sky is the limit.
Also, I miss Moraine. Never thought I would, but here we are—these children need a firm hand and a sound mind. I’m afraid only Moraine had both.
Somehow, after all is said and done, I cannot bring myself to give this book three stars. I am so far gone that there’s no way of stopping now. These characters—no matter how flawed and irrational—I have to see them through this journey. Even if it costs me my sanity.
Googling Mazrim Taim was THE STUPIDEST THING I HAVE EVER DONE.

First half was a struggle. It was really slow. But the second half picked up and I couldn't put it down!

I love this book in the series. The political intrigue between the two Aes Sedai factions, and the way that Rand’s plans play out with the channeling men was an exciting development of the story to me.
The end section of the book with Perrin was an exciting pick up after the slower paced majority of the book, with what felt like a monumentous moment.
The communication between men and women is terrible in this world.
