A ripping read and compelling in its action and setting. It lacks the description and emotional depth to be truly enrapturing, as if one can sense the thin veneer of the author between the story and their own eyes. Still an enjoyable book and a historic period underrated in current media.

A colorful and raw fictionalized account of the Edwardian phase of the Hundred Years War. Well written and detailed, both as to tactics and location, as well as in the battle scenes. From the publicity for the book this is his first foray into historical fiction. (Audio book)
