I enjoyed a lot reading this. It was entertaining, fun, lighthearted AND sassy. The latter I didn't expect and took me absolutely by surprise. But, hey, I won't be the one complaining. I also liked how we are shown what falling in love implies. Letting one's walls down and trusting the other person one hundred percent.

It's a cute story that is entertaining and heartwarming. Nothing that will be life changing, but a good and funny story nonetheless. Mostly, I love how this represents some of the essences of Brazilian culture through the lens of a light rom-com. It captures so much without having to say a lot. (and some parts really make me miss my mom's cafezinho and pĆ£o-de-queijo).

Love love loved this book!! It was so funny and entertaining and
I was really rooting for both of the main characters! I loved the
dual perspective and how we got to see two very different but
very real family dynamics. I appreciated how they both had
struggles and developed solutions together and apart, their love
made them stronger individuals and helped them grow every if
they were not right next to each other. I loved their banter and
how they went back and forth and how they became a safe
space for one another! They were protective of each other even
when they were both on attack mode. Plus the supporting cast
was so fun, I loved Lina's family and Dean is a real one for sure.
All in all this book was super sweet and funny, and I would
highly recommend!!

Such fun while reading it, but I struggle with the romance formula sometimes! Perhaps, for me, romance needs to be incidental, not the main focus of the book?
