(Listened to the audiobook version). This book was all over the place for me. Started laugh-out-loud hilarious, but didn't end that way. Some of the voice actors were incredible, others reminded me of Siri. Also thought the title and cover were a tad misleading. I think professional female writers would appreciate the book much more than those of us who thought we were going to read stories all about housewives.

This was recommended by several friends, and it didn't disappoint! A quick read, and one I've found myself thinking about quite a bit since I finished it. Snarky and hilarious, but also thoughtful and dark. Like many prim and polished housewives of popular culture, there is much more beneath the surface than readers might initially suspect.

This had a stellar start before kind of sputtering out in the middle and gaining momentum again towards the end. Not all the stories were up my alley, but the ones I did like were really good. It's a sharp, witty, satirical spot of dark humor that is a worthy read if you're into that whole really desperate housewives thing.
