If you love books, and wonder, sometimes, if books are made of more than just paper and glue, this series is for you.

Absolutely riveting.

I enjoyed the first book in this series and was looking forward to the second book. This book turned out to be the best of the series so far. The personal growth of all the main characters was painful, sad and ultimately profoundly beautiful. My eyes watered on many occasions.  The evolving relationship between Hero and Rami were some of my favorite parts of the book.  Despite my dislike for the assistant librarian, I understood (but disagreed) with her point of view. Once of my favorite books of the year so far. A part of me wishes that this was the last book in the series. I am a bit nervous that the next book will be unable to be as good as this one was. I have placed an order for the final book in this trilogy.  I hope that the author will provide a satisfying ending to this trilogy.

The villain was delusional, which I found very frustrating because their actions just didn't really make sense. And I find Claire so frustrating. She's afraid of the unknown and then instantly becomes controlling about it, so any development from the first book is like gone and she's back to being closed minded. The stuff they learn and the world building is cool. I did feel like this book was a bit repetitive
with the characters traveling through other dimensions in a way that felt very similar to the first book. And two characters ended up kissing, which is fine and there's a little build up to it so it only feels a little forced, but then it's dragged on and on. I get that it was supposed to be comedic and romantic, but stretching it out in the middle of the climax was weird.
