Vilken fin bok!

I always feel bad writing horrible reviews because I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings but here it goes. Chbosky you've been warned, look away!!

Soooooo... is Charlie supposed to be autistic or something? Because it wasn't really clear.

How were teens supposed to relate to this when it came out? Sure, Charlie's exploring all kinds of stuff like teens do, but he sounds so freaking clueless and naive. A weird, awkward guy like that would NOT have cool friends in high school, let alone make out with a girl. He doesn't know about masturbation, confesses his wet dreams to a girl and can't recognize rape? Wtf?? I felt like I was reading about a six-year-old!

And the writing... OH GOD ! It was terrible and stoic and choppy and simple. "I am sad. I am happy. I started to cry." Jesus!

I didn't feel any emotion at all; no one is endearing, least of all Charlie. This was all about cramming as many issues as possible into 200 pages without actually dealing with any of them. And stop crying every 20 pages, geez! Saying you cried doesn't make the story emotional. Stop telling and start showing!

A story of friendship, drugs and sex. It's a story where most of teenagers can relate to. Charlie, Patrick and Sam's friendship is that kind of relationship you wish you had when you were younger. A tear jerker for me.

Just a really great read about the angst of growing up

A modern day Catcher in the Rye. I love how introspective the protagonist Charlie is. I can relate to Charlie in so many ways. He's extremely honest and thoughtful. The book feels personal because it's written as if Charlie is writing to you, creating a strong connection between the reader and the characters in the book especially Charlie. The writing style is great, easy to understand and accurately reflects the adolescent thoughts of the protagonist. A great read for everyone. Takes you back to those wonderfully annoying high school days. But, Charlie is an incredible, empathetic character to follow his challenges through adolescence during the Rocky Horror Picture Show.
