Man this book was good and well worth the wait. I loved the journey these two sisters went one. Wren and Rose went through so much in the span of this book, and they grew more than I thought was possible. We seen so much strength and weakness and love and the uniqueness of their world and their magic. There were characters that I didn’t want to love that I did. And characters I never thought I’d be mad at that I was. There was so much unexpected and some things I did see coming, but it melded together in this wonderful journey to be had. I truly wish I didn’t have to wait another year for the next book, but I can’t wait to see where it leads.

3.5 ✨ toooo longgggg. I really liked Wren and Alarick in this one.
The characters feel like they went backwards in character development. Especially Rose. And the way the characters are written feels way more flat than in book one. I also just think it’s being dragged out too much, we made barely any progress in 160 pages.

It would have been a 3:5 but the enemies to lovers gave me exactly what I wanted! I am thoroughly enjoying this series. I love how linear it is.
Enjoyable, I think more so than the first one? Which is crazy for a sequel (in a trilogy no less!), but maybe it’s cause I had the physical book and wasn’t listening to the audiobook.
