The whole premise of the second book was so silly.. Who could've predicted the twin who had no experience or real desire in ruling would bugger off and be an uninterested crappy ruler... wow. The conflicts thrown into the relationships at the end of book 1 also were picked back up in a very distanced way

Enemies to lovers was a very welcome surprise. Didn’t expect the author to change that up. Good story.

I dnfed this book and I hated to do it. I finished the first one and it was okay. I only started this one because I was hopeful it would improve my thoughts on the first one. It has not. I couldn’t connect with the characters or the storyline and it makes me sad. But I know others that have really enjoyed this series and I am happy they do! I wish I could have enjoyed it as much as they did.
