//e: fuck it I'm updating my rating to 4/5 because it's been four months and Alarik & Wren still have me in an absolute chokehold. I am in Misery. I have no idea how this is gonna end but I'm so deeply invested that it doesn't even really matter, I'm just along for the ride and screaming the whole way.

3.75/5
I would like to formally apologise to Rose for being so much more invested in Wren's side of the story, but in my defense aaaaaaa Wren & Alarik aaaaaa

I like this one more than the first one. The story got more interesting and I look forward for the third book.

It was difficult to get into the book at first. I spent some time away from the Kingdom, and coming back to a moment to readjust. Maybe that was part of it.
Around halfway, the pace picked up, fast and furious. Every chapter at that point was a cliffhanger.
It’s amazing the journey these characters have been on, and how much has changed. It seems like one sister has been lost, and one found.
I think it’s a good story, and I’ve enjoyed it, but I definitely enjoyed the first book more. I’m eager to see how the story is resolved, and what ending will become a new beginning for the twins.

#1: What a ride! I loved this one so much more than Twin Crowns. It's just so AMAZING.
#2: I am a little confused at when Wren and Alarik started to like each other, but I have to say: I like them better than Wren and Tor. PLEASE LET ME SEE MORE WREN AND ALARIK. It's fun to watch.
#3: Shen and Rose are still a BEAUTIFUL couple. I LOVE THEM.
Okay I really really want to rant about Wren and Alarik. When did she like him and he like her? But that kiss... Sigh...
My favorite part was when Wren became all big sister mode and marched on Shen. It was so HILARIOUS.
