I think it is a fine book for what it is, but just not the book for me. Picked it up because it's set in Tulum, but found the characters fairly annoying. Story moved along well.
I received an eARC from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you!
3.5 stars so rounding up to 4 stars.
Once you get used to the back and forth of days and 3 characters perspectives, the beginning was strong. I read the last half of the book straight through just waiting for the big reveal you usually get with a thriller book that ended up being a small one, that was kinda disappointing. Would have liked more of a punch but that being said it was an enjoyable read.

One tequila, two tequila, three tequila.....well we all know what happens after too much tequila 🤪ðŸ¤.
Girls trip to Mexico? I’m in! Ashley, Natalie and Lauren have known each other for twenty years. Life has thrown them a few curveballs in the last year and Ashley decides they need a trip to reconnect. Natalie and Lauren wake up to find Ashley missing on the day they’re to leave. So what happened? The story alternates POVs with before and after the disappearance. These three girls are as reliable as a politician. I wasn’t exactly sure who to root for or who to believe. The pettiness drove me a bit batty at times but if you like drama then you’ll get your fill. The setting brought memories of college spring break shenanigans and gave me an immediate craving for a drink with an umbrella. The dynamic duo of @lisaandliz have a lot to offer readers in this twisted friendship tale.
Unreliable and atmospheric this is a solid poolside read.
Thank you Amazon Publishing for the free copy. All opinions are my own.

Why do try to read thrillers when I know I hate thrillers.
I apologize for the delay in posting this.
I am a huge fan of Liz and Lisa - have been since their first novel, and they continue to create page turning novels that keep you up well past your bedtime!
Girls' Night Out is a winner! It is so hard to believe two individuals are writing this book as it flows so seamlessly from page to page, chapter. If you are in for a thriller, that will make you feel like you are right there in Tulum with the main characters, this is the book for you!
Job well done! Can't wait to read what ever comes next from Liz and Lisa!

Girls' Night Out was a likeable thriller, if you like thrillers. I want to like them, I'm always so eager to read another because I think "this one sounds so good, I'm going to love it," but then I don't.
My main problem with GNO was how repetitive 3/4 of the book was: why the three girls were mad at each other, were they going to be able to get past it, would they sell their company...over and over. I, of course, wanted to finish to find out what happens but that's really only the reason I finished.
I can't even begin to imagine how difficult and time consuming writing a book is that I sometimes have a hard time writing less than stellar reviews but then I think that I'm entitled to my opinion 🤷

This was fine. I was mostly in the mood to read it but it wasn't necessarily unputdownable. I couldn't keep ANY of the characters straight for the life of me. I also feel like the book specifically leads you to believe something happened so obviously that's not what ACTUALLY happened to their friend that goes missing. I also thought the "secrets" they were hiding from each other were pretty transparent. I couldn't suspend my disbelief at times either - these ladies are 40 years old and one of them blindly trusts a stranger she meets in Mexico after two minutes? I couldn't wrap my head around any of it.

📖 Review 📖 🌟🌟🌟🌟 Three friends, 20 year friendship, trip to Mexico 🇲🇽. As they fight to bring their friendship to peace, it does nothing, but fall more and more apart. Lauren and Natalie have their own angry towards Ashely. Someone who comes off as very self centered. They all have their own little secrets, that neither of them have told each other. As the angry builds, and the arguments start each day, the more their secrets are told. Once Marco gets in between them, the more distant their friendships become. If you haven’t read this book, add it to your list. Some parts are drawn out, but it sucks you as you want to know how it’s all going to unfold. The ending is so unexpected, it will have you reading the last paragraph over and over. Thank you @goodreads for my paper back copy. @lisaandliz thank you for creating such a wonderful read. #reading #bookstagram #girlsnightout #bookreview #bookworm #bookobsessed #readmorebooks #readme
