This series really works for me because of the characters. I think if it weren't for the lengthy build ups for each of them the plot would really fall short. A lot of what's happening here is still heavily focused on what each of them wants, what their limits are and who they are away from their own baggage. I did sometimes really feel that Elise has more succubus than vampire tendencies though!

I particularly liked how we got to see a deeper picture of Leon. While he portrays an always happy exterior, it's very clear that it's bravado hiding a lot of deep insecurities. I think a lot of people can relate to that. 

That's probably why I am really loving this series, because outside outside of the spice and the fantasy, are very real, very relatable characters that easily reflect real people with real problems.

I’m loving this series. This book felt slow. But I really enjoyed the detour to Zodiac Academy and all that came with that trip. My heart broke for some of our characters and I’m anxious to see where the story will take us. I’m nervous about what the mate situation at the end means for everyone else. I don’t like that they all bailed and nobody talked about it and I hope that doesn’t drag through a big chunk of the next book. Elise continues to be fantastic and I love her. Let’s see where our vicious characters take us next.

Action packed with a surprise ending. Glad to see the boys coming together to save Elise but bummed it didn’t stay that way into the ending and book 4. Cmon guys!

Was für eine Geschichte. Was für eine Wendung. Was für ein unglaublicher Spaß.
Das hier mag keine "große" Literatur sein, aber ich habe bisher wenig in meinem Leben gelesen, was mich dauerhaft so gut unterhalten hat wie diese Fae und auch die Zodiac Academy.

Oh my god. This book broke my heart. Put it back together and then broke it again. And then stood on it and left it hanging.

This was emotional. I neeeed to start the next book but also need to sleep.
