Ah, yes. Time to enter the “authors stab me in the heart repeatedly” phase of the series (featuring my favorite ZA character with Leon as his fanboy). Leon Night is basically a Seth Cappella that I like more. Gabriel is so much more moody than he is four+ years in the future. Dante is the only 20 year old in this entire universe willing to tell Lionel to F off on first meeting. Ryder is unexplainable, yet I love him. And, above all, Elise is the best FMC/protagonist  in this universe.
