A comfort re-read. I love all of the Anne books and I might just re-read them all for the millionth time since I re-read so much Beverly Cleary already last year.

This was the one I was most excited for and ended up being my least favorite so far :/

Not a fan of the letter format
Edit: this is where the series should’ve ended

Had to two star it… I loved the first three books but this one was a drag. It felt like a filler to explain Gilbert’s absence for three years until they get married. I honestly didn’t care for any of the characters except for little Elizabeth and Rebecca but there were so many introductions of new characters that I just couldn’t follow.

The only thing I really liked was the growth in Anne!
