“Home is where you are. I would go anywhere for you if you wanted me to be there.”

Man I love them. The slow burn was amazing.

The beginning was a little slow and I also found it hard to like Aiden. For a second there I was scared I was going to hate this book, but thankfully he began to melt. We love to see it.

Also the ending 😭🥰💜

I have seen recommendations for this book all over the internet and let me tell you this book did not disappointed. The slow burn, the pining, the tension! All of it was so well done. I really enjoyed this book. Aiden turned out to be this sweet big teddy bear and Vanessa was a heroine you rooted for. Honorable mention to Zac aka Big Texas who is so so charming. This book really delivers on  slowly building a sweet relationship over time.

Fantasy football has taken over my life these past few months and this was the perfect book to end the season with. Aiden's character development was one of my favorite character arcs ever. I never would have expected the characters to grow and unfold the way they did, but I have zero complaints. This book is also the slow burniest of all slow burns but somehow doesn't have too much drawn-out angst (but it's there don't get me wrong). It's exactly what it's marketed as; a cliche sports rom-com. There were some chapters that were a bit repetitive but this was a very easy feel-good read while also having the perfect balance of whump and romance.
