Cassandra Clare, take notes. THIS is how you write quasi-incest. You set it in a spooky house with a bunch of secret passageways and have a toxic, mood-swing-prone man who can't decide if he wants to kiss the heroine or hit her. Logic!
(Okay to be clear, this is not healthy. At all. But we are not here for health we are here for MESS!)
The cast of this was a bit small, making it pretty obvious who the big bad was. I will give some credit for a deeply disturbing image right at the climax, though.
Pretty trashy and kind of forgettable, but a fun time and the cover is gorgeous.
