This book really neatly tied together the trilogy,
Andie still being a part of the mystery felt fitting.
That Pip didn't realize that Jason Bell was DT earlier felt a bit off, I knew that immedialy when she found out about his companys connections and that he was away on the night Tara was killed. She should have at least questioned what he was doing that night.

Overall I really loved how Pips character grew during the series, and how her trauma is dealt with. The pacing and events really kept me hooked all the way through and I was truly stressed out while reading.
I'm now ready for the tv-series to drop and I'm really excited to see all the characters come to life!!

ok so look. i hated it but loved it. i get the mixed feelings because i felt them all too. that is why it’s going to be a 5-star for me.

there was a good chunk of the book where i thought pip – and me lowkey – were hallucinating because it threw me off that much. a plot twist!? but at the same time, it kinda made sense storywise.

all in all, my biggest takeaway from this series is FUCK 12!

oh, and their non-ending ending wrecked me.

ms. jackson, i am kindly asking for an extended epilogue, please and thank you.

This was quite the finale for such a gripping series! I was on the edge of my seat throughout the whole thing. Pip was in such a rough spot at the start of the book (and continued to stay in this rough spot throughout the novel); I just wanted her to be free of it all, but I suppose *this* was the best way for her to process her pain while utilizing her skill set. After the second book, I was wondering how Holly Jackson was going to up the excitement factor, and she delivered in some unexpected ways! I was practically screaming at Pip's decisions during several key scenes in the book. I don't want to spoil too much in this review, but Pip's skills were pushed to their limits to carry out justice and solve a few remaining mysteries left in the town.  The ending almost devastated me, but the final page secured me some remaining threads of hope.

Thoroughly enjoyed this series and getting to know Pip and the other characters along the way.

Wow, what a roller coaster this book was.  The most tense out of the series for sure.  I got through the first part then quickly worried how everything would come together by the end.  Which I’m super happy with how this ended.  Everything came full circle and it was so satisfying to read even if some parts were anxiety inducing.  Pip really slayed with her last case (pun may or may not be intended).

And yes, this book also has stunning formatting with all the extra details in the design of the book.  I absolutely loved this series and highly recommend it.

I really enjoyed book 1 & 2, listened to them in like 2 days lol.

This one started quite well, I liked that we got a better insight to pips PTSD and darker personality side that was hinted at in the second book. Who the dt killer was was predictable and I think Pip should have made that connection immediately, that was really our of character for her.

But boy oh boy was this a theme. Why in the WORLD would she MURDER this man and become a killer?? Witnessing a killing and experiencing the trauma it came with wasn't enough? Girl, honestly.

I hate how she just plays God up until the very end, when she breaks up with Ravi (which also broke my heart in a million pieces, obviously) so she can save him... Maybe, I don't know, not involve him at all if you care so much about this safety? and then the savage left him CRYING in the WOODS really great Pippa, great way to leave your boyfriend (who would have also married your crazy ass) who also committed a huge crime helping you out.

I simply cannot wrap my head around the fact that she didn't even think twice in framing Max. He's obviously a bad guy, but he's not a killer (she is) and doesn't deserve to be imprisoned for that (she does).

PS I really hope the police is not as incapable in rl as they are in the book
PPS why Pippa, why, didn't you go with the
self defense? Everyone would have believed you? He literally kidnapped and was planning to kill you? How bad is your godcomplex and need for control. But instead bring in SIX other people to help you do with dirty work so you don't have to face the consequences, sure. No wonder she couldn't finish therapy. Argh

PPPS 3 stars instead of 1 because I was still very much entertained. 😒
