Underrated.
A magical piece of work with incredible characters, horrifying images, and brilliant storytelling.
House of Whispers is something that surprised me in The Sandman tales and with Lucifer and The Dreaming, are books totally worthy of The Sandman title.

I could've sworn I'd already reviewed this disappointing beauty but it's perhaps been lost to the vortex like so many Sandman plot devices.

It seems this book has gotten muddled in my memory with [b:The Dreaming, Vol. 1: Pathways and Emanations|43097789|The Dreaming, Vol. 1 Pathways and Emanations (the Sandman Universe)|Simon Spurrier|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1562090975l/43097789._SY75_.jpg|66909758], so I won't be able to give much of an honest review.

I've read all of the Sandman, which can certainly be confusing, but this story was very hard to understand. The art is beautiful, and the newly introduced characters are enjoyable. Great representation.

Terrific art with a slightly confusing story. I think if you’re entirely new to the Sandman universe (and haven’t watched the new Netflix show either), you won’t enjoy this.
