This cute, feel good Christmas story is the first time I’ve read anything from this author and overall it’s a very entertaining and enjoyable story. The first third of the book I found quite chaotic and had trouble following which character the story was following at the time. However, the main characters are fun and interact well. Something I found annoying though, is that things happened for which we’re not given any explanation. Emma lost her job, we’re not told why. Emma’s roommates kick her out, we’re not told why. Something happens towards the end and we’re not given any explanation. These may only be small things, but they help to bring depth to the story and characters.

This was a super cute Christmas sunshine/grumpy story! This storyline was perfect and the characters were very well developed and this was the absolute perfect feel good story for a holiday romance. If you want the angst, slow burn, forced proximity with a HEA, this is definitely the book to grab! Great book, would recommend. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced review copy of this book and it was great!

Thank you to HiddenGemsBooks for this ARC.

What a surprise!

When Emma’s car breaks down, she stumbles into a coffee shop in a small village and meets the gruffy owner Nick. She spends a week there while her car is being fixed, learning about the story of the mistletoe latte and the owner himself.

Just when I was ready to give up on contemporary romance thinking it’s definitely not for me, this book came and swiped me off my feet. It’s so cosy, like a warm hug and a lovely story that I can see happening in real life. I was expecting sweet romance (which it definitely was) but was delightfully surprised with a couple of spicier scenes. Full of grumpy sunshine, festive cheer and, well, coffee. Definitely pick this one up this December!

Only thing that would have made more perfect would be if I had Mistletoe Latte and a doughnut when I finished reading.🎄☕️🍩
