Cute. Not life changing but a fun, low stakes (as in not scary or violent) mystery for the younger set.

It’s interesting because I haven’t seen this marketed as a Sherlock Holmes spoof at all, but it totally is a fun one!

YOU CAN'T TELL ME SHIRLEY WASN'T INSPIRED BY DEXTER FROM DEXTER'S LABORATORY

Put this entire thing down in the library while waiting for my phone to be fixed. Adorable, delightful, memorable. I loved the author's note explaining that the story was inspired by Sherlock Holmes, but that we need new stories that reflect the world as it is without the problematic things you find in stories from the past. I'll definitely be reading more of these two.

Very cute! Would be a perfect summer read for children. Explores friendship (especially how some of us have trouble making friends) through solving a mystery.

Fantastic friendship graphic novel! Looking forward to book 2!

Part mystery, part humor, kids will love this Cady of characters. Grades 4 and up.

Do I love this book so much because it's a really good graphic novel? Or do I love it because it makes me feel like I'm back in Toronto and I miss it? No idea. But it's a sweet story with a fun little mystery and a Sherlock Holmes-like character and SO MUCH DIVERSITY. I really hope the kids love this one.
