i am so devastated after this read. it's the good kind of devastation, the kind that set me feeling so stirred at the end of the read, feeling empowered for the women and feeling ever so deeply for the main lead and the journey she's gone through. happy emotional tears were shed as i flipped the book to an end, unable to place why or what exactly but just feeling the unexplainable warmth and compassion for all of them. just want to pat frankie on the back and give her a damn tight hug and tell her, girl you're doing so so well, you're amazing, and that's all that matters
A very compelling story, and compelling story writing, but also the saddest work of literature I have ever read.
