One of my top 5 audiobooks of 2025!

This book came out guns blazing (no pun intended). There was so much action packed into the first 150 pages that it left me wondering what was left for the rest of the book, but I appreciated Hannah’s focus on Frankie’s stateside reassimilation. I have always been fascinated by the Vietnam War, and her discussion of the unique challenges faced by Vietnam vets helped me understand those struggles firsthand. Loved it!!!!!

My first 6 ⭐️ book. Wow, Kristin you outdid yourself. I cried so many times reading this novel. The women, I’ll never forget. The purpose of this book was delivered beautifully. This was my first Kristin Hannah book. I will be reading the rest. Thank you for sharing the reality of being a female Veteran from Vietnam.

As a female Army officer, there were a lot of things about Frankie’s story that were very relatable, and overall the book is a wonderful tribute to service even in times of political disarray
