Interesting story, unique world building, fleshed out characters, nice character development. Although, I did figure out the baddie before the FMC.

This one started off really great, then lagged a bit in the middle before finishing up extremely strongly. The world building is fantastic... I just felt like the second act took a bit too long to really get going. All in all, though, I'd say I'm looking forward to more in this series.

very fun! there’s nothing new under the sun, but the same story can still be told in interesting and unique ways.

The premise for this was super cool, and I loved the world building and the themes that were explored throughout. The main character was also engaging and entertaining. The pacing was not great- this felt wayyy longer than a book this short should have, which is why it took me a month and a half to finish.
