Dayum. Read after watching the show on Apple TV. But this is so much fucking better. The twists!! The turns!! I had to put the book down mid chapter at times because I was getting too anxious reading it. I do think there was one part that could’ve been left out but like I get why it was there, I’m just not a fan of

incest

But holy cow. The rest of the book, how it was slowly pieced together!! Ugh. I want so much more. Cannot wait to read more stories in this world.

Really enjoyed this new recording of the audiobook. Unlike when I listened to this nearly a decade ago, and liked it OK, I'm actually looking forward to getting to the sequels.

This book kept me on the edge of my seat throughout - so many cliffhangers and plot twists! I enjoyed how the story unfolded and I was invested in it, but there isn’t much deeper meaning here. I haven’t watched the TV show yet but I plan to!

I rarely read books that are over 300 pages, but this book drew me in at the first sentence and kept me interested down to the last sentence of the last page! I thoroughly enjoyed the plot, and the writing style is pretty good too.

I would recommend this to those of you who like sci-fis that aren't heavy handed with technical jargon and dystopians that aren't horrendously dark/graphic.

I have a pretty low tolerance for bad dystopian fiction due to the YA dystopian craze of the '10s. This definitely exceeded my expectations. A fun time with lots of social commentary. Excited to read on!!
