Elle’s first novel was a bestseller but she is suffering a writer's block now. Her next book is approaching its deadline and she has nothing to show for it. Renovating her new house has put her in a lot of debt and to get out of it she decides to rent her house for two weeks on Airbnb while she travels to France. After returning though she feels as if something is amiss. Her things start disappearing, she feels as if someone is watching her house and maybe somebody went through her locked things and discovered her most dark and deadliest secret of all.

You Let Me In by Lucy Clarke is a dark, creepy, psychological thriller with some unlikeable characters that added to the story . A satisfying , twisty read and will definitely recommend to all psychological thriller lovers.

I would like to thank Harper Collins , HarperCollins UK, HarperFiction & NetGalley for providing an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest and fair review.

This was my first Lucy Clarke book and it was good! I thought the topic was really interesting, especially because AirBnB is so big right now (I've even considered using it myself!) the author sets up what initially is an innocent situation and makes it mysterious and scary - I think the main character's home is a really good place for authors to set thrillers around in that way, because a home is a sort of safe place. I did not see any of those twists coming! This book was jam-packed with red-herrings and I loved it, it really kept me guessing and I did not see the ending coming despite thinking I knew several times.
There was a really interesting set of characters, and I was suspicious of everyone which really fed into me believing these red-herrings.
I enjoyed this book and hope to read more from this author.

This is my first book by Lucy Clarke and I’ll absolutely be checking out the rest

The psychological thriller centers on Elle, a famous author living in a coastal mansion in Cornwall, close to her sister and separated husband. Her life looks idyllic but, as I’m sure you’ve guessed, it isn’t!

In the current wave of books, we know a twist is coming so we guess from page one. Although I got it right, I couldn’t have guessed at the details and I love a book that surprises me. Well worth a read.
