A world so beautifully built and fashioned with so few wurde, but not a sentences wasted. A poignant reflection on a dark part of catholic and Irish history

Quick read at a pace that was smart in its manipulation of time; not a word out of place. If it weren’t for Keegan’s post-script, it wouldn’t have been as clear what was happening with the nunnery, which feels accurate to the protagonist and his knowledge of goings-on, though was less clear for me as a reader.
