Having been just "whelmed" by The Agency for Scandal, it was nice to finally get around to this one and find that was obviously just a glitch in the system. A Single Thread of Moonlight was swoony, fun and a lovely Cinderalla-style retelling.

Another delightful romantic adventure! I really liked how this story played with the Cinderella idea while also doing the main things I love about the Agency books. I was only sad to not have Agency references in there!

I liked this book a lot. I’ve read all of Laura Wood’s their books and I loved all of them and this book was no exception.

I think this is exactly what i was looking for after my past extremely intense reads? Sailed through this one. Had no high hopes but surprisingly an easy breezy read.

The greatest compliment I can give Laura Wood is that reading her is the closest thing to reading Eva Ibbotson, without just rereading Eva Ibbotson! She writes the swooniest romances, in lovely settings, and I have never not loved the heroine and hero. This one is a pure delight as ever, and Iris might just be my favourite of her heroines - I do love a woman who can throw a punch and wield a sewing needle with panache! (I might be biased because those are two of my own interests but I don't care!)
