This book is not what I thought it would be.

At first, I thought this wasn't t an emotional roller coaster ride, as some have said. It wasn't until 300 pages give or take that I started feeling some emotions.

I did like like the characters they were intriguing, but meh all the same. However, I did love the medium from where she came from and how she used to be to where she is now,  total turnabout. Jenna, poor girl. Virgil, the alcoholic,  I get it.

I felt like I learned a shite ton about elephants and how much they are like us, human's. How they mourn, live and love, play, and tend to everyday life. It truly is amazing!
I did  have a hard time staying connected to this story.
My thoughts kept creeping in more and more every day. When people say they feel like they have watched this story on the tele, It's because it is like the sixth sense. Just add some elephants and a teenager.
I really wanted to give this a 2 and a half /quarter star, but I rounded up. Just to be fair.

wasn’t 100% my cup of tea, but i can see why others would enjoy it. alice’s chapters were kind of hard to follow, and any times there were time jumps whether it was to the past or back to the present, it was kind of hard to differentiate between which was which.

i did initially pick this book up not expecting to like it because i had just asked my mom what one of her favorite books were, but i did start to enjoy it about a few chapters in
