i was actually kind of impressed at how much i remember of this book because around this point in the series my memory is so foggy because i have not read it in like 7 years or something but this was actually really quite good and a super fun read. it's arguably the first book with a real plot to it and like. an arc and a side story and everything? there are some great michael moments, and a lot of things that made me laugh. although it was a tad too long for me i think in general this surprised me and i thought it was really good.

Thankfully, Mia has become way less whiny than the previous book. I am enjoying rereading the series because I finally understand all the references and can relate to the paranoid teenage girl protagonist.

I once again enjoyed this story and the progression Mia has made as a character. Having her back in New York means that some of the annoying and obsessive traits she has are balanced out by her best friend Lily. I'm looking forward to the next book to see where she goes from here.
Mia is still rly annoying but ugh these books hold such a place in my heart from my high school years that I can’t rate them below 4 stars.
