This was a pretty damn good book! I wasn't sure what to expect. I have never particularly been a Stephen King fan, but you can mark me as a fan of Joe Hill! This book got right to the point. The haunting kicked off within 30 pages and it was creepy and intense! The ghost was a unique take that still felt classic, and the way the story unfolded was phenomenal. The characters were flawed but still people i could relate to and wanted to succeed. Also an aging rock star as a main character? That was so much fun!! I still never got fully scared though so for this one I'm going to say 8/10! I am definitely going to pick up more from Joe Hill!

Slowly build tension after an intriguing start and ups the ante with every new development.
For the latter half of the book I was so hooked that I could barely lay the book aside to fulfill my day to day tasks.
