Oprecht een beetje sad dat ik hem uit heb. Wat een heerlijke wereld om in op te gaan. Sommige verhalen vond ik echter wel minder leuk/belangrijk, vooral als het bijna niets met Nils te maken had. Wel echt een boek wat ik ooit zou willen voorlezen aan een potentieel toekomstig kind.

A must read for every human, young and old. The perspective she has on the animal kingdom and our ignorance of it, has me firmly believing it must be so. Wonderful indeed! I want to shout this book from the roof tops.

Sweden's most beloved adventurer, Nils is a disobedient child shrunken to the height of a gnome. He slowly befriends various native animals and flies around Sweden on a goose. He grows more mature as he copes with death and suffering, learning to help as he can.

You'll learn more about Sweden's plants and animals than you bargained for. Martens are pretty cute though.
