This didn’t need to be written at all… it does seem like it was just written for the TikTok hype

Just repeating the same experiences, same themes are truly added nothing new to the story

Beautiful! The perfect ending!

This sequel feels… unnecessary. Though I understand that the author did it because of public demand, I wish she did not give into this and left “It Ends With Us” as a single novel. I was happy with that ending. It did not feel like I need closure. It felt powerful as one book, yet the sequel somehow brought that power down.

Nevertheless, I had to read the book, because I wanted to know more about Atlas. I was curious about him, and really looked forward to hearing a story from his perspective. Sadly, it was not very well written - there is barely any difference between the two narratives. This is a real shame, as there was a great opportunity for the author to explore different writing styles to create a male narrative. I even had to double check whose chapter I’m reading, as they sounded the same.

Was it a nice read? Yes. It’s a very easy read, because nothing significant happens. The things that do happen, however, are very predictable. The only thought provoking part of this was the question of - how was Atlas single, and never loved anyone else? I do not buy the whole ‘he was so in love with Lily, he didn’t love again’. Someone like him would definitely find other amazing people. I know that the hopeless romantics love this, but it was a bit too much. It made Atlas look like he was SO obsessed with Lily, whilst she was out falling in love with others. It just did not sit right with me. I am not asking for reality in a romance novel, but I wish they focused more on Atlas as a person, rather than Atlas as an extension to Lily.

ALSO - WHY IS THIS BOOK SO MUCH TALLER THAN ALL OTHER CH BOOKS??

DID NOT FINISH

This book contains some of the most outrageously bad, painfully atrocious writing I have ever seen. It is frankly appalling to me that this book was allowed to see the light of day. Everyone involved in its propagation, editors, publishers, authors, should be lined up against the wall and
