This book STRESSED ME OUT. Some very realistic portrayals of anxiety, to the point I didn't really find it funny, I was just on edge. It was very easy to read and I did enjoy it, but I had a completely different experience to what the quotes on the cover promised!

I don’t have much to say about this book. I love Haddon’s writing, but I believe he struggles with making the main character likable and the story line above mediocre. I love the characters in his books, but the plot/character balance is disrupted by the backtracking and the strange,
sometimes absurd and unbelievable motivations to move the plot forward. There isn’t enough focus on why the characters act the way that they do. Still liked the book, but it was perhaps a bit above mediocre in my opinion.

5 stars family drama book. However, I loved it not because of the chaos that was going on. It’s through each family character, I felt like there’s so much we can learn from. I learned how important communication is, how easily we can let fights ruin our relationships and how amidst all, LOVE TRULY CONQUERS ❤️❤️ Making the conscious choice to choose love over fear.

It starts a little slow and I had a hard time distinguishing all the different characters, as they were introduced very quickly after each other.
After 30%, I was sucked into the book and read it in big chunks. Would recommend it. Also switching perspectives from chapter to chapter gives a nice dynamic.
