I did enjoy most of my time reading this book. However, I do think in the end it felt just a little too confusing on my first read of it. I was also not quite sure about the ending as something just didn’t work about it for me. I plan to reread it to see if my thoughts change, but for now it just didn’t quite come together as a whole for me.

Not a book I would ever pick up on my own or think I would enjoy but havin read it for my book club... I really liked it! The pacing was good it kept it interesting, all 3 characters were distinct and well characterized, the imagery was vivid and visceral - most of the time the mystery of the creatures in the book was well done and intriguing
I would say the first 2/3rds were really great and as it got a little more abstract and chaotic at the end I lost the thread a little.
But I still enjoyed!
