This was a very sweet, charming little read.

It is very much of its period - there are terms included that today would be deemed offensive (see the content warnings) - but I enjoyed it for what it was, and I'm sure that when it was published many girls of narrator Judy's age would have identified with her.

Judy herself - as she would prefer to be called - is a witty, funny narrator with some surprisingly deep thoughts. This is a very easy read, despite some archaic language.

Daddy-Long-Legs isn't earth-shattering, but for what it was, it did it very well.

Petition to bring back letter writing as our main form of communication*

*maybe not to mysterious benefactors who statistically won't be as nice as this one
