Quick little vacation read. i’m mad because I feel like this book just ruined the entire series. Still a beautiful look at the early days of motherhood, but like the romance side of her life piss me off so bad it felt like a waste of a plot line.
I thought this was a solid ending to the series. I was invested in Tabby's journey and rooting for her all the way.
<SPOILER> after all of that, she chooses to be with Mark and I cannot take it LOL. Now I do t care how it ends because I believed she’d choose herself. <SPOILER>
This whole series was very up and down/back and forth for me. As a black woman, I honestly couldn’t relate or see Tabitha’s perspective majority of the time, though I very much identified with Lexi. Tabitha’s definition of having it all was extremely unrealistic, like… Lisa Sinclair and everyone around her had their own versions of having it all, but Tabitha was just annoying and selfish to the end. For instance she sat idly when her white boss told her she shouldn’t wear her natural hair to work but felt empowered by being a single mom. I probably wouldn’t read anything else by this author, her characters, side stories and narration were all extremely annoying.
It wasn’t as good as the other two. No real dialogue

I think those who rated earlier installments with low ratings didn't read the entire series. The series encompasses everything that career women are faced with as they attempt to be themselves, become a mother, become a significant other, all while maintaining their careers.
