Traitor is the first introduction to the Loxley Prep series. In it, you will meet Abel, Ronan, Wells, Bishop and Lennon. Throughout the book, and series really, we get bits and pieces of what happened in their past and how it sort of shaped them into who they are in the present. They all have one thing in common: the shitty camp they all went to.

Now when you think of a camp, you think of a fun summer one where you get to make friends and memories to last a lifetime. Yeah, this camp was not that kind of camp one freaking bit. Luckily, they all had each other until they didn't.

Lots of betrayals, secrets and mysteries to solve. A lot of which didn't add up because we were missing some puzzle pieces. The overall unknown bugged the heck out of me because I just wanted to know what went down and why no one trusted one another. Of course, it came done to the usual suspects: assumptions and miscommunication.

This eventually gave this group so much conflict - whether it was good sexual tension or not. It also doesn't help that there's just something about Lennon that makes the guys question every little thing. She's the light to their darkness and they have no idea what she has gone through since she left their lives. With their little reunion, they don't know what to do about her either.

The romance was so freaking good. Unfortunately, it also gave me a huge headache and some anxiety. Again, it was the unknown messing with my mind because I just wanted this group to get back to being on the same page.

In the end, we have so many suspects to keep track of and lots of secrets to uncover.

I absolutely loved every minute of this book. It has been quite awhile that I got hooked in a bully/friends-to-enemies-to-lovers/ childhood sweethearts kind of romance. And boy, this book pack a punch. This will have you turning those pages dying to know what will happens next and keeps you on your toes guessing what caused the fall out. I liked Lennon's sassy comebacks to the guys. While I adored the guys, how they are all intense and crazy about Lennon, I want to know more of them aside from those brief POV. As a first time reader, I liked the author's writing style, how she built up the suspense and the easy flow of present and the past that made a compelling storyline. With a cliffhanger ending, I hope that there will be more build up on the romance department in the next book.

Ok so Hattie Jude knows exactly what to do to get my attention! She had me at RH but my goodness the story though! I can tell this is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Lennon, Abel, Wells, Ronan, Bishop and their secrets that are waiting to be revealed. I loved her use I’d flashbacks, they were perfect for the story. The suspense level is on high because you’re left questioning so many people and their actions. She gave me just enough but left me hungry for more so safe to say I am hooked and eager for more to come in the next book!

Lennon’s life has never been easy contrary to popular belief. And when her father passes away, she moves back to the one place she wishes she could forget. Back to her hometown, and back to them. The four boys that were her safe haven. But now they hate her and she can’t figure out what changed so drastically from their shared days facing some of the worst horrors to now. As new mysteries begin to unfold, she’s starting to realize that they hold more answers than she thought possible.

There were so many points to love about this story. It’s categorized as a reverse harem, bully romance and it definitely delivered.

Lennon is a MC that I loved to read. The main reason being that she did not take the boys' crap. Every time she gave right back the energy they were giving to her and she did it with a smile on her face, it made me love her even more. She also seemed to be thinking the same thoughts that I, as a reader, was having - especially about how some of the situations were crazy!

The four boys were all dramatically different which I appreciated because it’s easy to get caught up and forget who is who. They all seem to have their own bond with her that makes it easier to see why they love her in their own ways.

My one down point to this book was how quickly her relationship with a couple of the boys turned from hate to insta-love with little to no explanation of what exactly changed for them. I feel like there needed to be a little bit more tension before the tides turned, and I’m happy that a couple of the boys are still holding on to that pettiness. I’m also hoping for a bit more spice in the second one - which I can assume will only come with inviting more of her hot boys into bed!

Overall, I enjoyed this book and the killer cliffhanger will definitely have me picking up the second book on May 26th. This is one you won’t want to miss!

I couldn’t like this. The only reason it’s a 2⭐️ not a 1 is because I actually managed to finish it.

The main character is a doormat who is constantly talking about how strong she is then crying over everyone (when she’s not talking about how attracted to them she is). More important than that though is the fact that she was TWELVE when they supposedly all fell in love with each other. TWELVE. I just couldn’t get past the sexualisation of a child (including attempted rape and SA). It was all so confusing. It was like the author wanted them to have history but also wanted them to still be at school for the main plot so just wrote a history when they were young that really is more suitable for mid to late teenagers. Then to top it off she throws in a teacher because the whole professor thing sells books. I’m sorry but it was just a step too far for me.

I’d written a more thorough review but Goodreads crashed and I can’t bring myself to type it all out again. I’m sorry I didn’t like this. Being an author is hard but I honestly don’t know how this got through beta reads.

I liked it but it went a bit too fast at times.

It’s very confusing to start, and you still don’t have all the answers at the end of book 1. Everything moves a bit too fast for my liking, and it doesn’t really feel like a bully book to me as there isn’t a lot of bullying happening.

The relationships with two of the guys happen weirdly fast to me, and I still don’t really see why I would have to like them as they’ve never even apologised to the fMC before they get together. Spending a bit more time on working out the guys’ characters would’ve been great because right now they still feel quite 2-dimensional.

But all in all, I really enjoyed this book and am looking forward to more character development, more answers to the many questions and more quality time with the guys in book 2. It’s a quick and easy read so ideal if you’re looking to start a book in the evening before bed!
