Ugh. loved this installment in the series. It's right up there with Mark of Athena for my favorite in the series. As far as series go it was ended off so nicely and completely while also on a cliffhanger? Idk but it was great. ADORED the ending. And reading this years after it originally came out and knowing about his next companion series/series involved in this world, it just makes sense. And I cannot wait to continue to see these characters and the world grow!! Such a fun experience no matter the age.

This was a terrific final chapter to the Heroes of Olympus saga. As a whole, I think I enjoyed HoO more than the Percy Jackson series. I think a lot of that comes with Rick Riordan having thoroughly found his groove in this second series set in the same world.

I don't want to give too much away, but I do want to say that, in my opinion, almost every character had a VERY satisfying ending. I'd say Frank & Hazel were, perhaps, a smidge short-chagned. Nico's resolution was perhaps the most satisfying of all, with Leo as a close second.

I definitely add this to the list of things I will eventually re-read in one solid go, starting with The Lightning Thief and going all the way through to this book, as it really is one giant series, rather than 2 smaller ones.

Perhaps I will also eventually check out some of Riordan's other works, as well.
