The plot and the story of this film is utterly ridiculous. The way each chapter ends with a cliffhanger which is then easily undone within the next paragraph is hilarious. The dialogue is painful. However...it is extremely fun to read and until the final 30 pages or so it did keep my attention.
this was a very bad book. none of the characters behave like actual human beings, the dialogue is weird and full of random infodumping from the flat main character, and racism and sexism run rampant in descriptions of female characters and characters of color. reading this was like watching a bad thriller - cheesy one-liners, nonsensical characters, bad pacing and plot. but some of the shark stuff was fun.

Cartea mi-a atras atenția după ce am văzut filmul. Mi-au plăcut amândouă, dar mult mai mult filmul.
I did really enjoy this book, but with there was more to the ending.
There were also a few times where the main character, Jonas Taylor, was referred to as both Jonas and Taylor in the same paragraph which got confusing.
