I couldn't get caught up in this story. I really wqnt d to but I didn't find it compelling. Definitely not one of my favorites from Nix. I'm not familiar with the other author's work. Maybe it was that second voice that made this so unreadable for me. Moving on.

For the first half of the book I kept thinking this was a typical mid-evil, kids go on an adventure book but it has some unexpected twists and turns that left me feeling that this was a delightful adventure that is set up for more to come.

A delightful tale of adventure, friendship, and what it means to be brave that subverts classic fantasy tropes at every turn. Incredibly fun.

Cute little tale - the reader on the audiobook did a very good job with voices.

Definitely have your kids read it, maybe a little too easy for an adult but a delight regardless.

This was one of my better finds at audio-roulette. I look forward to seeing what other adventures these two get into.
