I wish this book would have been a little less inner dialogue, more growth of the characters, overall it was okay, it just fell flat

Solid conclusion to the trilogy. It was fascinating to watch the whole story come together, with many questions finally being answered. Overall, I enjoyed the character growth and the world created for this one.

Thank for the opportunity to know this family, I will miss them dearly.

I must say i still don’t relate to Harlow as a person, but i do relate to the love everyone feels in this book.

Eager to read about the other parts of this universe soon!

I am so sad this series has come to and end, but I also loved the way it ended! I have been obsessed with this series since I picked up the first book as a recommendation earlier this month, and I’ve read all 3 pretty much back to back. This whole series was just so good. The Immortal Orders is what I would describe as a high urban fantasy romance with a sprinkle of sci-fi. It is a very complex complicated world, with multiple creatures, planets, powers and so much more. This did not end how I was expecting when I read the first book, I actually really enjoyed the sci-fi/alien element to it and it was done in a way that realIy lends itself to a fantasy book.

Throughout all the books we follow Harlow Krane, the series starts off with her in one of her lowest places, when she reconnects with her first love. This book also starts off with Harlow in a low place, following the end of book 2, however we see her deal with what’s happening so differently. I loved that this book was based in so many different places in the world so we got to see lots of different places and settings. We learnt even more about the planet and creatures histories and everything that was needed to keep everyone safe and protected. This story definitely has a blurred line of doing bad for the overall good, although I wouldn’t say I agree with what the Illuminated did and obviously some of them are pure evil, but there was also the side of them trying to protect the planet.

I love Harlow and Finn together, they are definitely well balanced and made for each other, and I love the sacrifices they are both willing to make for the ones they love. Their family and friends are some of the best parts of this series, whilst I was routing for them I was also routing for all of the side characters right alongside them. There are so many different relationships and dynamics and it was really lovely to see how it all played out, so much banter, especially at inappropriate times, it had me laughing out loud.

There is least amount of spice in this book but I think that actually adds to it, it means spice wasn’t thrown in unnecessarily and it made sense for the story to have less spice at this point. i’ve loved the spice in the series and what was in this book felt well placed and not too much.

The magic system of this world was really good and individual, I really liked how each creature seemed to have their own connection to magic and their own individual way of using it, but it all connects back to each other at some point.

The epilogue of this book was everything I want an epilogue to be. It felt like the perfect amount of time to check back in on them, and everyone had the ending I would have wanted for them. I feel like there’s lots left open for the world but sadly Harlow and Finn’s story reach a really lovely and content conclusion.

On a whole this series really is fantastic and I haven’t been gripped like this for a very long time. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys reading complex romantic fantasies. I got real Crescent City vibes from reading this, and I’m very sad it’s over.
