Voyeurism abounds and some vampy like biting. Also lots and lots of tats! Not my thing, but I enjoy this series overall, so I’m glad I read it.

Screaming, crying, throwing UP

This is my new favorite of this series. Hands DOWN.

I loved the plot, the emotions, the characters.

Daddy Sikthand is HOT.

Oh boy, I immediately jumped into this book after Maxu/Meg because this series is that addicting. It feels like every book just gets better and better. I cannot wait for the next one and to see who the main couple is.

This book would have been 5 stars for me until about 100 pages before the end. I was on board the slow burn train and the angst and pining until the last like 1/5 of the book.

Maybe it's me and I'm the total opposite vibe of Sikthand in a relationship, but I wish at the end there was a bigger moment for him and his trust issues. Like, I know Sophia is his real mate, and that bond just magics away a lot of relationship issues, but the end was very underwhelming. The kidnapping from Maxu/Meg felt like a very sloppy plot progression tool, I'm sure there was another way to get them to realise they were mates. There was so much build up during the whole book and then it was like, they lived happily ever after, bye.

Sophia is a great character, I actually appreciated her patience with the whole situation and being a grown up when needed. She didn't pretend being a queen was all about dresses and banging the king, but she also wasn't a political science maven who knew everything about ruling over a group of people, she was willing to learn and accept her interim shortcomings.
