This book kept me engaged throughout the entire thing and I always looked forward to picking it up again! The dark vibes are perfect for fall and the twist in this classic story was so creative. Great read!

This ‘Romeo and Juliet’ retelling surpasses the source material easily. With all of the drama from the Shakespeare classic, mixed with culture and some characters with actual personality, as well as a monster and an unexplainable madness, These Violent Delights will have you on the edge of your seat. I struggled to put this book down, and Chloe Gong’s writing is simply stunning. There’s even more betrayals and high-stake plots than the ‘greatest love story of all time’ and the ending will have you desperate for more. I can’t wait until the sequel is released.

OH MY GOSH I LOVED IT. The writing was descriptive without being pretentious and I fell in love with the characters. The plot twisted and turned and slotted together so well it was a joy to read. The cliffhanger at the end left me shook and I can’t wait for the next one.
