Very slow pace, quite boringly told, yet fascinating tale of the first expedition to colonize Mars. Following the entire group of 100 people for several decades, including politics, love stories, forming of cults and always high technical and scientific detail.

By "finished" I mean I will never finish this book and I'm fine with that.

Technical details are excellent, story drags a bit

If you want a overly detailed account of how Mars may be colonized, punch your ticket here.

“Whether it be of this world or of that,” she said, “your love will lead us yonder in the end.”

DNF at 64%. The beginning section is leaps better than the middle section, unfortunately.

One of the most incredible pieces of science fiction I have ever read. The characters really start to develop more in the latter half. I became so attached to every single one. There are a lot of themes to mull over here.
