There was a lot jam-packed into this short little story - friendships changing, personal growth and development, and getting to that place of self-acceptance.  I really enjoyed reading this…..was an enjoyable palate cleanser before diving into another thriller or true crime book.

Having loved Jane Green back in the day, I looked forward to reading this story. Unfortunately, it fell a little flat, and I was neither invested in the characters or the resolution of their story. The big reveal was obvious almost from the beginning, and by the time the reveal came I had long since ceased to care for either of the two at the centre of the toxic friendship. The best thing that can be said about this short story, is that it was, indeed, short. Blissfully short.
