Most of this short story was a 3, but the ending was cliche and heavy handed. The moral was handed to you on a silver platter.

Could be a 4 star read if it wasn’t so short. It has a lot of potential to be amazing and it’s very disappointing that the author opted for this to be a short story

2.5. Free Amazon Prime short story. I think I have read this author before and enjoyed her. This book starts out really good. Recently divorced woman meets a new friend and they quickly become best friends. There is a surprising twist and that is when the book turns into an Oprah self episode hitting you over the head with the message that you are good enough all by yourself. I think if this had been a longer story, it would have developed more and been a lot better. It was just too wrapped up with a bow and a message. On the good side, it took less than an hour to read!

Wow! This was short but absolutely stellar. I didn’t quite know what I was getting myself into but let’s say I enjoyed every strangely twisted second. Do we really know our friends? The people around us? What are they hiding? If you find something like that intriguing you, definitely pick this up! I also enjoyed the details surrounding our characters in such a short time as well.

So short but profound! The last 10 pages really go to me. Definitely a universal experience when it comes to relationships and friendships.
